After reading “The Book of Tubit”, a friend of mine
asked me why the series had not been completed. I told him that I had dropped
the idea of completing the series because of the difficulties and hardship
encountered in the printing and distribution of “The Book of Tubit” which took over two years to complete. He replied that
many people labour throughout their life knowing that they may never see their
work to completion.
This encouraged me to recommence writing in this series and I am grateful
to God for giving me this chance to present this book about the Completion
of the Book of Daniel. This is the third in the series after “The Book of
Tubit” and “The Book of Judith”.
I would like to take the opportunity to express my gratitude to His Grace
Bishop Moussa — the Bishop of the Youth — and to
my beloved father, Father Marcos Tawfik for their
guidance and encouragement and for reviewing the book.
I am also grateful to Ireni Farag
and Nadeem and Nadia Abraham for translating the
book into English and to all those who took part in printing and publishing
it.
I am especially grateful to my wife Eman for her
patience and endurance and for the encouragement that she always provides
me and I raise a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord who blessed us with our
second son Ethnassius Jeremiah while this hook was
in the press.
The next hook in the series will be “The Book of Barookh”.
