PREFA CE
As a part of his study series of the Second Canonical Books which do not appear
in the Beirut Edition of the Holy Bible, our beloved Deacon Ehab
Waheeh presents to us a summary of his study of the
Completion of the Book of Daniel.
This covers the Song of the Three Young Men, the Story of Susanna, the Story of
Bel and the Story of the Dragon and contains several
spiritual lessons for the faithful.
We learn about the Three Young Men praising the Lord after He saved Them from the fiery furnace, which has heen
re-enforced seven times. We also learn about Susanna and how God saved her from
false accusations of committing a crime that was puoishahle
by death. The hook also tells of how Daniel exposed Bel’s
priests to the King of Babylon and how he saved the people from the dragon
which has always been a symbol of the devil.
The author also presents us with a good study of the personality of Daniel
himself who was a great example for the youth and the faithful as a whole.
Daniel refused to be .. .by the ..
of the king. He rejected the idols and refused to
worship them even if meant being thrown in the lions’ den, He repeatedly
exposed the deceit of the enemy of righteousness as in the stories of Susanna,Bel and the dragon.
We hope that this in depth study will be a source of benefit for
Everyone who reads it through the pleadings of our
mother the
Virgin Mary and the prayers of our beloved father Pope Shenouda
the Thin
May the grace of the Lord be with us all Amen.

The Bishop of the Youth.
